Research Assistant

You will contribute to a research project investigating the development of Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) and use metallic nanoparticles for improving the diagnosis, understanding and treatment of atherosclerosis.

Post holder will be working in the Immunology research area within the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation under the supervision of Dr Pasquale Maffia (Principal Investigator).

Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the performance of molecular and cellular vascular and immunological techniques, especially with insight in imaging and SERS spectroscopy.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.

This is a full time post, with funding available until 30 April 2018
