Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Greek Archaeology and Museum Curator

Applications are invited for the temporary post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Greek Archaeology and Museum Curator within the UCD School of Classics.

Note: Specified purpose appointment covering maternity leave (estimated duration: 6 months).  This appointment will commence in January 2018

This post combines a lectureship in Greek Archaeology with curatorship of the UCD Classical Museum. The appointee will participate in teaching across the full range of programmes offered by the School of Classics, will carry out research leading to publication, and will contribute to the administration of the School of Classics. The UCD Classical Museum is the only museum of Classical Art and Archaeology in Ireland, providing an unrivalled educational and cultural resource. As curator the appointee will be responsible for the care, cataloguing, display and secure storage of all artefacts in the Museum.

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (below the bar) Salary Scale: €32,820 - €57,602 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
