Data Architects x 2

University of Edinburgh - College of Science and Engineering

EPCC at the University of Edinburgh is the UK’s leading centre for High Performance Computing and Data Analytics. We are seeking two Data Architects (posts available immediately) to work as technical leads on some of today’s most exciting, challenging and high profile data science research projects. Join us and from day one you will be working on a wide range of collaborative projects in the broad area of data engineering, large-scale data analytics and distributed data systems. You must be technically excellent with great communication skills and with analysis, design and software engineering skills in C/C++, Java or Python. You will have a track-record of successfully completed projects and a high degree of analytical and intellectual curiosity. In-depth knowledge of the current technology trends in “big data”, including frameworks for advanced analytics and machine learning, streaming data processing and SQL and NoSQL databases is essential. Projects bridging both academia and industry are central to EPCC’s strategy and therefore individuals who can effectively communicate and collaborate with both communities are particularly sought.

There are two positions available.
