A dynamic individual is required to deliver excellent speech and language therapy education and to lead in clinical education for the undergraduate speech and language therapy programme.

This post is suitable for a speech and language therapist with a clinical expertise in the field of paediatric speech, language and communication needs who has a strong interest in the clinical education of undergraduate speech & language therapy students. You will have responsibility for organising and coordinating clinical placements and lead on the development of new creative placement models and opportunities. You will contribute to curriculum development and take an active role in the delivery and coordination of modules within the speech and language therapy programme. The role will involve effective partnership working with external and internal stakeholders, and the post holder will have excellent communication skills and be able to lead placement delivery within a changing, and sometimes challenging, environment.

You will be expected to provide excellent teaching and clinical supervision to speech and language therapy students at the university. They will have access to a range of training opportunities relevant to their on-going professional development. They will be expected to engage with research and enterprise activity and contribute to the wider objectives of the Department, School and Faculty.

You should hold an honours degree in Speech and Language Therapy (HCPC registered & RCSLT member) and ideally have completed a higher degree (e.g. Masters and/or Doctorate) or be willing to study towards this. They will have demonstrated a high level of clinical experience equivalent to a Band 7.
