Executive Assistant

Imperial College London

Half-time and initially fixed-term until 30 September 2019

South Kensington

Are you an experienced administrator with a real interest in contributing to making Imperial a great place to work and study?  Imperial College is a world-leading university, with over 16,000 students and over 8,000 staff that advances education and research in science, engineering, medicine and business.

This is an interesting and varied role which focuses upon helping our newly-appointed Assistant Provost (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion), Professor Stephen Curry, to undertake his responsibilities to help lead and strengthen our continuing commitment to promote equality, diversity and inclusivity for our staff and students.

While you would be part of the Human Resources Division and have close contact with colleagues whose primary purpose is on equality-related work, the role is new and so you would need to be resourceful and able to set up workable systems, sometimes from scratch.

This position promises to be varied and will utilise to the full your experience gained in roles such as an Executive Assistant, Executive Officer, Personal Assistant, Secretary, Office Manager or similar executive support role.

This position requires excellent organisational skills, well-honed judgement about priorities and an unflappable approach. You would ensure the smooth running of the Assistant Provost’s diary, act as Secretary to various equality committees, prepare correspondence, presentations and documentation for meetings, undertake day-to-day general and financial administration and assist with a wide range of projects, activities and events.

You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues and students, face to face and in writing and so a high standard of written and spoken English, together with IT literacy, will be required for this role.

Closing date: Monday 23 October 2017

If you are interested in pursuing further, please complete and submit your application online via our website at http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/employment, quoting reference number HRA201722IB.

Please note that all applications must be completed on the official application form. CVs will not be considered.
