Teaching Fellow (MPH) Online

The University of Edinburgh offers a Master of Public Health (MPH) programme delivered entirely online. The programme aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue successful careers in public health research and practice. We are looking for a teaching fellow able to teach across a range of master’s level courses.

Based in the Usher Institute of Population Health Sciences and Informatics, you will report to the MPH (online) programme directors and work closely with academic and support staff to deliver postgraduate level, online distance learning teaching. You will also be responsible for supervising course tutors, setting and marking assessments, reviewing and updating course materials, attending exam boards, supervising master’s dissertations and supporting students as a personal tutor.      

You will either have a quantitative/epidemiological background or a social science background. You will have a PhD or equivalent qualification in a public health related discipline, plus a proven track record in delivering online postgraduate level teaching and supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also key to this role.

The post is available on a guaranteed hours contract of maximum average 14 hours per week.
