Bournemouth University (BU) is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic full-time researcher to contribute to a recently funded HEIF6 project titled “Digital media solutions for enhancing public engagement in wildlife conservation research”. The aim of the project is to co-create an innovative, digital media platform to enhance UK public engagement in scientific project work supporting wildlife conservation. The postholder will coordinate inputs from a range of stakeholders to lead production of this platform. They will work closely with a web designer and will also lead the production of associated academic papers and other dissemination outputs. The postholder will report to Dr Anita Diaz and also work closely with other academics including Dr Rick Stafford, Prof. Mark Brisbane, and Dr Phillipa Gillingham. The post holder will also maintain strong links with our partner institutions, the New Forest National Park Authority, and the National Trust, and develop links with new collaborators.

The successful candidate will have a PhD completed (or near completion) in Ecology or a relevant science degree and experience in effective communication with the wildlife conservation sector.

This post is available on a fixed-term basis until 30 September 2019.
