The School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London invites applications from scholars of international distinction for appointments at the rank of Lecturer in any fields in economics and finance, with particular interest in econometrics, finance and financial econometrics.

It has an impressive reputation for academic excellence across the humanities, social sciences, law, medicine and dentistry, and science and engineering. The School is highly regarded as one of the top economics and finance departments in the UK.

The successful candidate must have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience, together with a clear international profile and reputation for excellence. An outstanding record of publications with demonstrable impact in the field, and a well-established academic network are essential requirements. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the development of the School’s research strategies, to be active in attracting research income and to play a full role in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

The appointment is full-time and permanent. The starting salary is competitive and not less than £40,865 per annum (Grades 5 to 6). In addition, this post attracts a market supplement and there is discretion to apply between 35% and 50% of salary depending on current market conditions.
