HR Officer

University of Oxford - Department of Biochemistry

We are seeking to appoint an experienced person to deal with the administration of recruitment campaigns within the Department, and to be involved in the processing of work permits for successful applicants if required. You will be part of the administration support team, and will have daily contact with staff at all levels within the Department and with applicants.

Applicants should have previous experience of recruitment, excellent word processing and other computer skills, including the use of databases and spreadsheets; excellent administrative and organisational ability with good inter-personal skills; the ability to cope well under pressure and to cope with interruptions whilst maintaining close attention to detail; a good command of the English language with a high level of literacy and numeracy; self-motivation and an ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision. You should ideally have previous experience of recruitment within the University, knowledge of the UK visa system, and experience in the use of the HRIS system and Oracle Financials.

This full-time permanent post is funded by the Department.
