This post is available for 12 months, ending no later than 30 January 2019.  The successful candidate will develop existing research work on a miniature turbine machining spindles towards practical demonstration and commercialisation of high efficiency rotary atomisers for robotic coating applications. The specific objectives of this project are to validate the underlying commercial assumptions, identify customer priorities, develop a micro 90° IFR turbine suitable for rotary atomisation applications and develop a test rig to experimentally demonstrate a prototype atomiser turbine. In addition, the project includes a specific commercialisation strand intended to protect and initiate the exploitation of intellectual property arising from the research work.

Salary scale: £32,548 - £42,418 per annum (including contribution points)
