Postdoctoral Research Fellow

University of Edinburgh - Centre for Regenerative Medicine

We are seeking to recruit a postdoctoral research fellow for 6 months maternity cover commencing January 2017.

The post holder will be a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow who will significantly contribute the research programme in the Kranc Group at the SCRM. We use genetic and cell biology approaches to understand how normal haemopoietic stem cells (HSCs) function and how they are corrupted to cause leukaemias (Guitart, et al, Blood, 2013, Kranc et al, Cell Stem Cell, 2009; Mortensen et al J. Exp. Med., 2011). We hope that this knowledge will allow us to expand HSCs for the purposes of regenerative medicine and also to provide improved therapies for leukaemias.

This post is available on a fixed-term basis for 6 months.

Vacancy Reference: 041526

Closing date: 20 October 2017.
