Royal Holloway offers ESRC postgraduate scholarships through SeNSS (South-east Network for Social Sciences), a Doctoral Training Partnership of ten universities. You can apply for an ESRC SeNSS studentship through the following Royal Holloway Departments: Economics, Geography, Management, Politics and International Relations and Psychology. Studentships in Development are also available in any Department. As a first step please contact a potential supervisor or the Director of Graduate Studies in the relevant Department.

If you choose to study for your masters and/or research degree at Royal Holloway, you will join a close-knit social science community and be in direct contact with academics considered to be world leading. We're proud of the economic, social and cultural contributions we make locally, nationally and internationally.

You can apply for funding to study for a masters and PhD or a PhD alone. All studentships can be offered on a full or part- time basis. SeNSS studentships include a Research Council maintenance grant of £16,553 (2017/18) and cover tuition fees at the home/EU rate. You have access to additional funding to support research costs.

Information on the SeNSS application process is available on the SeNSS website and on the Royal Holloway SeNSS pages. For October 2018 entry, you must complete a Royal Holloway College application to study for a research degree AND notify the relevant academic department that you wish to be considered for SeNSS scholarship by the 21st January 2018.
