Clinical Research Fellow

Imperial College London - Department of Surgery and Cancer, Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology, Faculty of Medicine

Salary: £32,478 - £57,444 plus £2,162 London allowance per annum

Campus: Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospital campuses

The post holder will be required to supervise patients who take part in Early Phase Clinical Trials conducted at Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.  Clinical work will consist of helping to recruit and treat patients with novel agents. The post is funded through the NIHR, the research should lead to a higher degree and the Fellow will apply for follow-on funding.

The post holder should have full GMC registration. Advanced life support training and MRCS/MRCP is desirable.  Applicants should have an interest in research, proven experience in the management of critically ill patients and be at ST2+ level in General Surgery/General Medicine. 

The post holder will work in a group undertaking research directed by Dr Kenny and Professor Simak Ali within the Division of Cancer at Imperial College London. The post is full time for a fixed term of 9 months.

As this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, a satisfactory enhanced for regulated activity Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for the successful candidate.
