Lecturer in Enterprise Management in the Built Environment

The appointment will be on UCL Grade. The salary range will be Grade 7 £38,581 - £41,864 per annum. Grade 8 £43,023 - £50,753 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management is one of the world’s leading academic centres of excellence in the management of projects and construction economics. The School seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Enterprise Management who will carry out teaching, research and administration in the area of management applied to business enterprises, and in particular to construction-related enterprises. The area of specific expertise that is desirable is either project marketing and business development or the management of professional practices.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels; to carry out research and produce high quality publications; to supervise or assist with supervision; to contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum; to assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records; to participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments; to participate in departmental and faculty seminars; and to provide pastoral care and support to students.

This is an open ended, full-time post.

The appointee is required to have a PhD in a relevant field, and experience of research or teaching or other employment in a management related discipline. The successful candidate will also need to have an excellent grounding in management theory and practice, knowledge of organisational behaviour, and knowledge of management as applied to construction organisations and/or other similar project businesses and organisations; together with a proven record of ability to deliver high quality teaching and other forms of public presentations, to supervise academic work, and to conduct high quality research; as well as experience of academic administration such as allocation of dissertation supervision, and the ability to work collaboratively.
