Assistant Head of Corporate Communications

UEA is looking for a senior public relations specialist for all areas of corporate communications; including news and content planning, media campaigns across broadcast, digital and print channels, internal communications and employee engagement. You will need to be a seasoned communications professional and leader, bringing a proven track record of delivering strategic and operational communication planning and implementation across a complex organisation. 

You will also be comfortable working across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups, you will have experience of delivering large-scale communication campaigns and have an excellent understanding of the demands of working in a public policy environment. With an instinctive and positive approach to communications, first-class judgement and sound media and political awareness you will excel in this role.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, have experience of managing, leading and motivating a team, and be able to fulfil all essential criteria detailed in the person specification. 

This post is available on an indefinite, full-time basis to start as soon as possible. 

The University is a Bronze Athena Swan Award holder, currently working towards Silver.
