Postdoctoral Researcher in Device Safety and Regulation

We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Device Safety and Regulation to join Professor Andrew Carr and Associate Professor Daniel Prieto-Alhambra working within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), based at the Botnar Research Centre, University of Oxford.

As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Device Safety and Regulation you will lead a departmental research into drug and/or device regulatory sciences and you will liaise with potential stakeholders (patient groups, regulators and industry) to engage in the field of device regulatory sciences. You will provide support to academic staff within the department and you will prepare and present findings of research activities to colleagues for review purposes as well as submit publications to international peer reviewed journals.

You will have a PhD (or near completion) in regulatory sciences or pharmaco- or device epidemiology. Experience in regulatory drug or device research or practice as well as evidence of completed research and strong publication record in high quality journals are essential. High level of planning and organisational skills as well as an excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to build relationships with key stakeholders are also essential. Training in epidemiological methods is desirable.
