A superb fixed term contract opportunity has become available within our Sport and Active Life department for a Commercial Manager to join their team. This is a new role for the team and provides a unique opportunity to really make a difference and develop your skills and experience in a supportive and ambitious environment. Within this role, your primary purpose is to be responsible for brand development including full marketing strategies from website, social media and print. Working with internal departments and external suppliers and stakeholders, you will drive income, usage, awareness and engagement for the department.

Utilising your strong and diverse sales background and showcasing your track record of creating new business opportunities, you will be able to produce year on year growth with a passion for sport, health and fitness whilst generating income from external sources.

We will rely on the Commercial Manager to develop a full commercial strategy for Sport & Active Life. Implement, monitor and evaluate agreed marketing strategies and manage the delivery of the key revenue streams namely gym memberships, facility bookings. You will adopt an entrepreneurial approach to maximising external funding opportunities to create a financially sustainable service that offers value for money.

As the successful candidate you will hold a degree or have a proven track record within a sales and marketing role. It is essential that you have experience of working within a customer service environment. This role would be ideal for an individual who is passionate and determined to drive forward new business, to exceed sales and revenue targets, remaining focussed on customer service and member retention.
