Senior Student Recruitment Officer

Birmingham City University - Marketing & Communications Department

Location: City Centre Campus

Our new Senior Student Recruitment Officer will play a key role in how we deliver a compelling range of activities in schools and colleges, and on campus, aimed at increasing awareness of Birmingham City University’s transformation.

You will be an important member of our Student Recruitment team, based in our central department but closely aligned to specific subject areas. Together with helping us to deliver great events, such as Open Days and Applicant Taster Days, you will make connections between our subject experts and the University's school and college partners.

Your programme of resources and talks will showcase BCU to prospective students, supporting our wider marketing campaigns aimed at increasing student recruitment. You will also share our story with new audience’s offsite at recruitment fairs across the UK.

Our University has a great reputation for giving life changing opportunities to students from all backgrounds, something this role will develop further by supporting our range of activities aimed at widening access to a university education.

You will have experience of recruitment and events, providing guidance and advice to young people about issues including progression routes into higher education. Familiar with public speaking, you will have a professional approach and a strong understanding of contributing to a high performing team.

You will be joining an ambitious Marketing and Communications team, responsible for attracting students to study with us at a hugely exciting period in the Birmingham City University story. We are a major part of the transformation of Birmingham, with a £260 million investment in two superb campuses right at the heart of this great city. With a new and ambitious Vice-Chancellor in post, alongside a high-profile Chancellor, Sir Lenny Henry, there has never been a better time to be part of Birmingham City University.
