Head of Student Recruitment

Birmingham City University - Marketing & Communications Department

Location: University House, City Centre Campus

Our new Head of Student Recruitment will play a leading role in how we tell the story of Birmingham City University’s transformation to new audiences on and off our campus.

You will lead our Student Recruitment team in delivering great events, such as Open Days and Applicant Taster Days, showcasing to prospective students our transformed campuses and historic Schools of Jewellery and Art.

You will also share our narrative with new audience’s offsite, at recruitment fairs across the UK, as well as in schools and colleges throughout the region and beyond.

Our University has a great reputation for giving life changing opportunities to students from all backgrounds, something this role will develop further – leading on how we widen participation, work with our Aim Higher partners and exceed the standards expected of us by the Office for Fair Access. 

Drawing on strong experience of recruitment and events, as well as a good knowledge of the higher education sector, you will be comfortable leading a team, measuring performance and setting high standards for service delivery.

You will be joining an ambitious Marketing and Communications team, responsible for attracting students to study with us at a hugely exciting period in the Birmingham City University story. We are a major part of the transformation of Birmingham, with a £260 million investment in two superb campuses right at the heart of this great city. With a new and ambitious Vice-Chancellor in post, alongside a high-profile Chancellor, Sir Lenny Henry, there has never been a better time to be part of Birmingham City University.
