The University of Warwick Library has entered a really exciting phase of development to help the University achieve its strategic goals of engaging Warwick’s internal communities and enhancing the postgraduate and researcher experience.

The post holder will be part of a team that is growing services for Warwick’s postgraduate communities and will be responsible for providing and promoting high quality, effective and user-focused community engagement services. You will be expected to build and develop relationships with students and staff to plan, provide and promote a range of services to enhance the student experience as well as help build a community of practice for postgraduates/researchers. Services will cover skills development and wellbeing support as well as initiatives to foster a sense of identity and belonging amongst community members. These services will be delivered through the Wolfson Research Exchange, Postgrad Hub and Main Library, as well as through other University fora. Community engagement initiatives will also happen virtually, including through our active social media channels and blogs.

The successful candidate will be joining a highly creative team that thinks ‘outside the box’ to develop innovative new services to meet the needs of our postgraduate communities. You will be educated to at least degree level, with further graduate or research qualifications desirable. You must have a track record of successfully working in a team but also be highly self-motivated and be able to work independently. Good presentation and interpersonal skills are essential and the post holder will be expected to confidently deal with people at all levels. It is essential that you have recent experience of working in a front-line, customer-focused academic support role in an educational, community engagement or customer services setting. The post holder will have a focus on the postgraduate community so it is important that you are able to empathise with these particular groups and have an understanding of the pressures they face.
