Purchasing Administrator

University of Hertfordshire - Finance, Procurement Department

Salary: UH4 £20,411 to £21,585 per annum with potential to progress to £23,557 by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience.

FTE: Full time position working 37 hours per week

Duration of Contract: Fixed Term Contract for a period of 18 months

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and conscientious individual with a strong commitment to customer service to the Procurement Team. Based in the MacLaurin Building in Hatfield, you will report to the Purchasing Officer/ Administrator, but will also work closely with Purchasing Administrators and originators of purchase requisitions.

Your main role will be processing requisitions, goods receipting and dealing with day to day queries related to this process. You will be required to run reports on the Finance system to enable you to manage your workloads.

You will have experience of processing transactions electronically, be flexible in your approach with a good eye for detail and be able to work under pressure. Experience of working in a purchasing environment would be an advantage.

You will need to demonstrate a high standard of customer service, accuracy, IT skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

The University is required to meet UKVI visa regulations. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK will have to satisfy UKVI regulations before they can be appointed.
