The salary will be paid at Grade 5, £28,098 to £30,688 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

This is a Part-time – 40% full time equivalent

We are seeking a Research Assistant (40% FTE) to work on an exciting new research project funded by the BIAL Foundation. The project will investigate the spatiotemporal structure of EEG microstates and their sequences in experienced mindfulness meditators.

The post holder will be working closely with the PI, Dr Elena Antonova (IoPPN, King’s College London), and external co-I, Professor Chrystopher Nehaniv (University of Hertfordshire). The responsibilities will include participants recruitment, EEG and ERP data collection and analysis, and the preparation of manuscripts for publication.

The successful candidate will have a BSc or MSc in psychology or related discipline (at least 2:1), knowledge and experience of research methods, and experience of EEG data collection and analysis. An understanding and personal experience of mindfulness practice or at least a strong interest will be an advantage. Knowledge and experience of qualitative methods is also highly desirable.

The selection process will include a panel interview.
