Development Facilitator

University of Hertfordshire - Planning, Development and Change in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor

FTE: This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week (1.0FTE). However, part-time working will be considered for the right candidate (though full days will be required on a regular basis to meet the requirements of the role).

Are you interested in helping people to reach their potential? Do you have some experience of training and developing others?

If so we are looking for a Development Facilitator to join our People Development Team providing training and development for all staff across the University. You will be responsible for the induction of new staff, delivering training workshops on a variety of topics (communication skills, time management, cultural awareness, etc.) as well as being involved in projects related to the development of staff at the University.  

You will be a confident and engaging facilitator who is able to work with a variety of audiences. You will have the ability to gain credibility quickly through subject knowledge, self-confidence and excellent communication skills. You will be able to utilise your analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of training and development making adjustments them where necessary.

You will need to be able to manage multiple workshops and projects, prioritise your workload and provide a high standard of customer service. You will need to be a strong team player as well as being able to work on your own initiative.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent.
