The School of Computing, Science and Engineering is a large multi-disciplinary School with over 2,000 students studying on a range of taught and research programmes at BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, MPhil and PhD level. The School is organised into directorates, which includes Computer Science and Software Engineering. The highly successful Directorate of Computer Science and Software Engineering is home to colleagues with national and international recognition for research and is a recognised centre of excellence in teaching. Our learning community of students and staff is thriving and continually developing, with research informed teaching and a platform agnostic, practical approach delivering high levels of student satisfaction. Research and Teaching is supported by state-of-the-art facilities, both on our main campus and at Media City.

The directorate will shortly be introducing a novel distance/blended learning Advanced (Level 7) Apprenticeship programme with a substantial student body focused on the development and extension of digital skills and technologies for industry. To support this programme we are seeking experienced tutors, to work as a small tutoring team providing a 24/7 tutoring support to students, some of whom as part of their programme will be studying via distance learning.

Reporting to the Programme Manager and working as part of a tutor cohort supporting the Advanced (Level 7) Apprenticeship programme management, the successful person will play a major role in ensuring that students are supported in line with the requirements of their programme.
