Operations Manager

University of Kent - Kent Business School

Kent Business School are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to oversee all operational matters for the School at the Medway campus, and effectively deliver the operational objectives for the School.

You will work closely with the School Business and Administration Manager to determine the strategic direction of our professional services and collaborate with central University departments to ensure that activity within the School supports and complements the University's initiatives.

As Operations Manager you will:

  • lead the day to day operational delivery of administrative support, ensuring consistent, high quality front line services for staff and students;
  • manage the Medway professional service staff, ensuring that staff are appraised and developed;
  • work with the School Business and Administration Manager to manage the Medway budget and resource allocation model.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • a first degree or equivalent professional experience;
  • substantial Leadership and Operational experience in a professional service/administrative role;
  • good staff management skills, including the ability to motivate others and manage the allocation of work.
