Learning and Development is very important to us here in Exeter; our aim set out within Our People Strategy 2016-2021 is to equip the University to deliver its strategic goals by attracting and developing a talented and diverse workforce. To do this, we must attract, develop and retain outstanding individuals from around the world. The Head of People Development has a key role within People Services to enable this to happen.

As Head of People Development you will be able to demonstrate;

  • That you have outstanding leadership qualities and that you can work with key stakeholders to ensure that the learning and development portfolio is fully aligned to business need.
  • Your vision for learning and development at the University of Exeter and your ability to continually develop this; adapting to a changing environment and seeking out best practice in learning and development.
  • That you are innovative, creative and flexible in your approach to creating and delivering learning opportunities.
  • That you have experience of delivering high quality and credible learning and development outputs that have made a difference to employees.
