Assistant Research Psychologist

Full Time 37.5 Hours per week (10 sessions)
Fixed Term for 1 year 

We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Research Psychologist in the Research and Development Directorate on a fixed term basis with a possibility of renewal/extension. 

The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust provides multi-disciplinary clinical services for adults, adolescents and children and their families, and is a leading provider of postgraduate training in the field of mental health. In addition, the Trust has a long history of research and innovation which is recognised nationally and internationally. Our current research is organised around three main themes: Psychological Therapies; Child and Adolescent Mental Health; Infancy and Early Years. These themes reflect our longstanding interest in psychological and developmental approaches to the promotion of health and the prevention and treatment of mental ill health. 

This is an ideal post for an enthusiastic person with a special interest in research and this post is an excellent way to learn about research within an NHS setting. The post holder will be required to work on a number of research projects within the Children, Young Adults and Families Directorate (CYAF), including an NIHR programme grant on personalised interventions for children with conduct problems ( The post holder will be involved in supporting applications for external research funding, undertaking literature reviews and developing and conducting research projects across a range of themes.
