Strategic Projects Facilitator

The Planning and Resource Allocation Office is responsible for strategic and academic planning within the University including the management of the annual planning round and preparation of University Chest budgets to a total of c. £450M p.a., and oversight of the University's Capital Plan valued at c.£700M.

This role is part of a team of seven responsible for the support of the University's strategic and capital planning processes, including the management of the annual planning round. Working alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, the role holder will be responsible for the management and support of strategic projects that arise through the planning process. The projects may be of a short- or long-term nature, but are expected to be complex, involve a broad range of topics, and make a significant impact on University-wide operations.

Applicants should have experience in successful project management and possess excellent organisational and analytical skills, and an innovative approach to problem-solving. Educated to at least first degree level, applicants will ideally have experience of working in higher education and an understanding, or ability to develop, a good knowledge of higher education resource management issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
