We are looking for an experienced People and Organisational Development professional with a proven track record of leading transformational change at a strategic level and delivering innovative development activities to support the needs of people at all levels in the organisation.

This is a highly visible corporate role which includes significant senior management interaction as well as working with staff at all levels within the University.  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership credentials and the ability to quickly establish credibility and respect and to work collaboratively with staff at all levels up to Board and Executive level.

Reporting to the Executive Director of HR, and with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Officer and the Vice-Chancellor, you will work as a member of the HR senior management team, leading the Transformation and Organisational Development team, to ensure the delivery of the Teesside University Transformation Programme and underpinning People and OD strategies and interventions to enable the University to respond flexibly to the evolving external environment while achieving its vision and strategy.

You will have extensive experience of leading, developing and implementing service transformational and excellence change programmes with advanced knowledge of external quality people standards.  Although not essential, experience of working in a similar role within HE and/or a complex and diverse organisation would be advantageous.
