The Public Health and Wellbeing Research Group, in partnership with the Centre for Appearance Research is seeking to employ a Research Fellow on a fixed term basis.

You will contribute to an ongoing research project on the role of biological and psychological factors in early childhood as predictors of mental well-being and risk health behaviours in young adulthood. 

Using an existing longitudinal data set the research project aims to:

  • Explore the relationship between body dissatisfaction in early childhood and a range of risky behaviours (eg drug use) in later adolescence
  • Examine direction of causation between depression and disordered eating throughout childhood and young adulthood
