An opportunity has arisen in Recruitment & Admissions, working in the Admissions Services team. The team is responsible for providing an effective and efficient admissions service for the University.

This new role will provide additional support for the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) auditions process and will involve extensive contact with applicants and staff at a variety of levels within the University. You will often be the first point of contact for applicants, responding to admissions-related enquiries by telephone and email and providing a warm welcome when registering applicants on-site for their auditions.

As the majority of auditions take place at the weekend, you should expect to work most Saturdays throughout the busy audition period (November –May). To compensate for this, the role includes an annual allowance of £1,500 per annum on top of the annual salary.

You will have responsibility for making arrangements for the auditions, processing applications and making decisions consistently and fairly against pre-defined entry criteria. In addition to these duties, it is expected that the role holder will participate in University Applicant and Open Days and other external recruitment events as required.

You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office. Experience of working with a University student record systems, such as SITS and in the field of higher education is desirable. An understanding of University admissions processes would also be a distinct advantage.
