Senior Lecturer/Researcher: Digital Education

The Department for Education and Childhood offers a range of programmes in Childhood, Education, Initial Teacher Education and Professional Development. These are thriving courses which we run in partnership with a wide range of educational and cultural organisations.

We are seeking to appoint an academic to this permanent full time post who will devote their time, energy and enthusiasm equally between research and teaching; for the first three years half of your time will be allocated to developing your research portolio in the field of digital education.  You will also lead, develop and teach on modules/programmes relating to digital education. 

We are looking for a colleague who shares our enthusiasm for learning, teaching and research and who is committed to developing and supporting excellence and innovation.

You will have experience in teaching and learning in HE and hold relevant postgraduate qualification/s.

In addition you will be able to employ innovative teaching approaches, including digital learning, as part of your role.

You will be able to enthuse and motivate students, be flexible in your approach, have excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, be highly organised, able to manage a varied and challenging workload and take a collaborative approach to your work. 

It is expected that you will have a developing research portfolio in the field of digital learning and a vision for how you will take this forward in this role.

Qualifications required:

Doctoral level qualification or near to completion in a doctoral level qualification, in a subject area relevant to the post.
