Deputy Director Operations and Procurement

University of Exeter - Finance, Strategy and Compliance Division

The University is looking to appoint a senior leader to head its procurement and financial operations functions that underpin the efficient and effective operation of the University's entire receipt and payment processes (excluding payroll). The post holder will lead on developing and delivering a procurement strategy, working in partnership with senior business owners across the University.

This is a critical role, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the post holder will be expected to develop a high profile across the University by partnering, challenging and influencing senior management in its procurement of goods and services, driving in innovation and efficiencies. The Deputy Director will also play a key role in the completion of the Future Finance transformation programme, including the delivery of its business benefits in the form of a lean customer-focused fit for purpose staff organisation, supported by better processes and systems.
