Senior Fitness Instructor - Maternity cover

Job overview:

The Centre for Sport have a fixed term vacancy for a Senior Fitness Instructor to cover maternity leave and to act as a supervisor for the casual fitness instructors and to undertake the role of senior fitness instructor, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the Centre.

This will include its facilities, activity programme, some class cover and supervision of customers using the facilities. Ensuring at all times that health and safety regulations and normal operating procedures are adhered to.

The post is full time for up to one year to cover maternity leave or the earlier return of the post holder.

The role is based on the Frenchay campus working between two gyms on site. The role is on a rota and includes some early starts and working during the evenings but does not currently include weekend work.

The hours are:

Monday 14:00-21:00
Tuesday 07:00-16:00
Wednesday 14:00-21:00
Thursday 07:00-15:00
Friday 14:30-23:00 (an enhanced payment is made when working past 22:00)

These posts require an enhanced DBS clearance.
