Senior Lecturer in Social Work

This is a part time (0.5 fte), permanent appointment within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

Overall purpose of post: To undertake academic and academic related responsibilities within the Social Work and wellbeing teams; to participate in the development, planning, teaching, assessment and evaluation of the Social Work programmes and wellbeing programmes; and to carry out research within Social Work.

You should have:

  • First Degree and a Higher Degree in a relevant area
  • Experience of teaching social work at HEI level
  • The ability to contribute to the core subject teaching needs of the undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work and Wellbeing programmes.

You will be:

  • Teaching students using appropriate instruction methods such as lectures, tutorials, seminars and other formal pedagogic work
  • Marking and assessing students work
  • Acting as Academic Adviser to a cohort of undergraduate student, including field/placement visits.
