What you’ll do

This role will drive the strategic development of the portfolio of finance qualifications with overall accountability for classroom materials and delivery (face to face and on-line) in line with the Business Division strategy. The role will ensure that all aspects of the offering are appropriate for delivery as stand-alone programmes and within apprenticeships. 

The role sits within the Corporate & Apprenticeships division of the Business School, a part of the business that have a key role to play in delivering on revenue and strategic targets by meeting the needs of corporate learners and their employers through the delivery of high quality professional qualifications and aligned apprenticeship programmes. The role holder will work closely with the Senior Head of Programmes and the Director of Programmes to fulfil the overall aims of the division.  Close alignment and collaboration with other Heads of Programmes will form a core part of the role.

Role requirements


  • The successful candidate will ideally hold a teaching qualification relevant to the discipline and a CFA qualification. If you do not currently hold either of these, a commitment to achieving these through BPP’s PGCPHE or Headway (BPP’s accredited CPD scheme) is essential along with CISI Membership (MCSI) or equivalent.


  • Practitioner experience in an appropriate field
  • CISI/Chartered Banker teaching experience
  • Programme design and quality assurance
  • Project Management
  • Leadership of an academic team
  • Publishing lifecycle and production processes
  • Understanding of Professional body relationships/engagement
  • An understanding of the HE/Professional Qualifications educational landscape and changes


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • The ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • The ability to work well in a team and be collaborative
  • Excellent computer/IT skills
  • Self-motivated
