Researcher in Evidence Synthesis – Clinical Guideline Production

Healthcare Infection Society

The position of Researcher in Evidence Synthesis is a new role within the organisation. The post-holder will report to the Research and Development Manager and will work closely with the Scientific Development Committee and its working parties to enable HIS to increase its contributions to clinical guidelines (via both HIS and external collaborations) through professional and effective guidance production.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic team player who is excited by the prospect of being a key player in a growing membership organisation that is committed to growing and developing HIS’s role in guideline production.  As this is a home-based role, the post-holder will be expected to work with significant autonomy, whilst working closely with the Research and Development Manager to increase clinical guideline output and identify areas or collaborations for the society.

The post-holder will be expected to perform tasks throughout the systematic literature review process, with an initial focus on analysing the outputs from current literature searches.  You will be comfortable engaging with, and where required, providing secretariat support, to multiple committees comprised of clinicians and researchers.

We are an organisation with a specialised remit and this role has tremendous potential for the right candidate to have significant impact on clinical guideline production. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in the biological sciences, healthcare (specifically microbiology or infection prevention and control) who wants to play a pivotal role in developing the scientific and clinical impact of this influential membership organisation.
