Clinical Musculoskeletal System Lead - MBCHB Programme

University of Liverpool - School Of Medicine

Applications are invited from Musculoskeletal specialists who have an interest in medical education for this major new and exciting role in the School of Medicine. Your expertise and understanding in this speciality will be used to provide advice about curriculum development as well as organising and delivering Musculoskeletal aspects of the MBChB curriculum.

It will be expected that you will work with a team of academic staff to implement the curriculum. In addition, you will play a major role in the delivery of University based teaching across the years and contribute to core School activities, such as assessment. You will also be encouraged to participate in pedagogic research projects in medical education, in line with the strategic research interests of the School.

The post has been designed to cover Musculoskeletal teaching across all 5 years, with a particular focus on Years 1 and 2. You will therefore need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of a variety of teaching methods in order to teach the speciality across the various years.

You would be required to undertake a university approved teaching qualification.

Please see full job description for additional details.

The post is available in the first instance for a tenure of 2 years. This may be renewed for a further period of two years, dependent upon successful integration of the post into the needs of the curriculum.
