Full time starting salary is normally in the range £49,148 to £56,950. With potential progression once in post to £74,259 a year

The University of Birmingham seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in English Language and Linguistics from 1st September 2018 to create and disseminate knowledge and research at an internationally significant level and through developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We wish to appoint an individual who will strengthen and augment the Department’s existing profile in this area. The main research fields within the Department are corpus linguistics, discourse analysis/stylistics, and cognitive linguistics/psycholinguistics. We are keen to appoint a candidate who is working in at least one of these fields.

The successful candidate will be expected to create and disseminate knowledge through initiating and conducting original research, through publication, and through developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
