The Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London is at an exciting time in its history. Already a world-leading Department, from mid-2018 we will occupy state-of-the art new research facilities at Imperial’s new White City Campus. The new building will allow significant expansion of our research activities, bringing together work in Molecular Sciences across the College, and with external partners, to tackle global grand challenges.

As part of this expansion, applications are invited for up to 10 Lecturer posts in Chemistry, commencing on 1 September 2018. Applications are welcomed from outstanding individuals in any area of Chemistry.

Essential requirements include:

  • A good undergraduate degree and a PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a closely related discipline, together with an excellent record of research achievement.
  • An excellent record of research achievement, evidenced by a portfolio of research publications commensurate with career stage.
  • Evidence of being able to establish an innovative and coherent research programme.
  • Evidence of the potential to plan, lead and direct research activity of outstanding quality.
  • Experience of teaching chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
