International Study Coordinator

University of Gloucestershire

‘Providing a breadth and richness of experience that enables all our students to reach their full potential’ is a key Strategic Goal for the University of Gloucestershire. Our acclaimed Your Future Plan programme seeks to deliver a personalised programme of support to every student, equipping them to achieve their ideal future career.

In recognition of the strong positive impact that a period of international study can have on a student’s employability – from strengthening their intercultural skills to increasing their level of mobility post-study to equipping them with powerful stories they can share with prospective employers – we have created the new role of International Study Coordinator. In this role, you will utilise a range of forums and media to promote to students the option to complete elements of their course with an international partner institution. Through reflective conversation, you will uncover individual students’ interests and needs and will connect them to the most appropriate opportunity or opportunities available, before supporting them to navigate application processes and to remain confident, safe and successful whilst abroad.

You will be a confident and persuasive communicator who has recent experience of working with young people in a professional capacity. You will be a champion of diversity with strong intercultural skills of your own. You will be well-organised and able to prioritise, with previous project coordination experience.

This new role is offered as a one-year, fixed-term contract initially and will be reviewed at the end of the year. We will be happy to discuss a Term Time Only contract for this post should that better suit the circumstances of the successful candidate.

Closing date: 12pm, 1 December 2017

Interviews: Week commencing 11 December 2017

The University understands the benefits of recruiting a diverse range of people and welcome applications from under-represented sections of the community.
