The College wishes to recruit an Associate Research Fellow to support the work of Professor Manuela Barreto. This Wellcome Trust funded post is available from 1 January to end June 2018 and based at the Psychology Department, Washington Singer. The successful applicant will help with all the tasks involved in conducting a study on loneliness in collaboration with a team of academics and the BBC Radio 4.

The post will include assistance in the preparation and test of research materials, data collection, data analyses, and preparation of reports. Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or be nearing completion) and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within this research programme. The successful applicant will be able to understand how to manage online data collection, be comfortable with data analysis, present information on research progress and outcomes, and communicate complex information in English, orally and in writing.
