We are seeking an individual to increase the profile and effectiveness of research in health informatics at the University of Liverpool. The post will be a Chair configured as a Professorship at the University of Liverpool.

You will be expected to run an internationally competitive programme of research in the broad area of health informatics. You will be expected to collaborate with the UK Institute of Health and Biomedical Informatics, NHSA-driven informatics programmes, and other national initiatives, but will also be encouraged to develop your own independent collaborations both nationally and internationally. You should uphold the aims of the National Institute for Health Research to translate research into benefit for patients, to drive innovation in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, and to maintain international research competitiveness.

We are seeking an individual with experience in the area of health informatics who has the ambition to develop a critical mass of research within their own research group, and through collaboration and leadership locally, to allow Liverpool to become a recognised key player in this increasingly important area of research nationally and internationally.
