Professorship (W2, tenured) for
"Data-driven Analysis of Biological Networks"

at the Johann-Friedrich-Blumenbach-Institute for Zoology and Anthropology

to be filled as soon as possible.

The successful candidate is expected to represent the field of data-driven analysis of neuronal and cognitive systems in research and teaching, and to contribute to the research area "Primate Cognition" at Göttingen University. It is expected that the successful candidate plays a central role in the new “Institute for Dynamics of Biological Networks”, thereby complementing and expanding research and teaching in computer-based life sciences at the Göttingen Campus. The successful candidate is also expected to participate in the transdisciplinary research focus “Data Science”.

In their research, candidates should be distinguished by outstanding, international publications, by the successful leadership of interdisciplinary research projects on biological networks and by the development and publication of computer-based analysis tools for biological networks and their dynamics. An internationally competitive research program in the field of theoretical and cognitive neuroscience is expected.

Applicants should hold a habilitation or an equivalent qualification in a subject of the natural sciences. This job offer is based on Paragraph §25 of the Law on Higher Education of Lower Saxony in its current version (Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz Nds. GVBl. 5/2007, page 69).
