Lecturer (Education) in French Studies

The post holder will be responsible for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, will contribute to French language teaching, and to a range of contextual studies modules in French Studies. He/She will also contribute to the School’s/area’s administration/outreach activity.  The post is temporary from 1 April 2018 – 31 December 2018

The successful candidate must have:-

  •     Primary degree including at least Joint Hons or equivalent in French
  •     Hold a PhD in relevant area of French StudiesEvidence of language teaching experience at tertiary level
  •     Ability to deliver research-led specialist teaching at all levels of the curriculum
  •     Ability to design course materials and to plan and organise the delivery and assessment of taught courses in French Studies
  •     Ability to contribute fully to the French Studies Curriculum at UG and PG levels
  •     Ability to contribute fully to the broader administrative activities of the subject area and the School of Arts, English and Languages
