The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 to £39,992 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be fixed term contract until 31 March 2019

The Centre for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine is located in Guy’s Hospital and is a focus for the cutting-edge stem cell research currently taking place across the College and its partner NHS trusts, as part of King’s Health Partners. Through the Centre, King’s aims to drive collaboration between scientists and clinicians to translate the potential of stem cells into clinical reality for patients.

Fiona Watt’s laboratory comprises approximately 30 research staff and visiting scientists, and is internationally recognised for research on adult and pluripotent stem cells. A postdoctoral position is available to investigate optimal conditions for directed differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells using micro patterned substrates. The successful applicant will already have an established track record in culture of human pluripotent stem cells, substrate design and fabrication, and analysis of data generated by high content image analysis. Applicants will need to have a PhD (awarded or near completion) in a relevant area of biomedical research
