This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in research administration. You will gain experience in research facilitation, project management, and industry-academia collaborations.

The Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM) has a large and diverse portfolio of funded research projects spanning diverse research areas. Securing research funding is increasingly difficult in the ever changing and highly competitive world of research. Therefore, it is essential that researchers are given as much support as possible when applying for funding to ensure they submit strong and competitive grant applications.

Working alongside, and reporting to, the Research Strategy Coordinator in RDM, the role will involve providing researchers with timely information about upcoming funding opportunities, supporting the internal peer review of certain grant applications in RDM, tracking grant applications and outcomes, and assisting with initiatives to support the career progression of research staff.

In addition, the postholder will assist with the running and coordination of the Novo Nordisk-Oxford Fellowship programme. The Programme aims to train the next generation of diabetes researchers through awarding postdoctoral and clinical research training fellowships. The postholder will work closely with the industrial partner, Novo Nordisk, and gain experience in industry-academia llaborations.

The postholder will operate at a high level, ideally having a strong scientific and research background (holding a higher degree, or equivalent qualification, in a biomedical discipline but educated to degree level or equivalent will also be considered) and prior experience of research administration. However, we are willing to consider applicants who have either a strong scientific and research background or prior experience of research administration.

We would consider a part-time appointment (minimum of 0.8 FTE, 30 hours/week) with a commensurate adjustment in the responsibilities and duties.
