Sidney Sussex College - Admissions Office

Sidney Sussex College wishes to recruit a SCHOOLS LIAISON OFFICER to join the Admissions Office. Part of a team of three, this post assists the Admissions Director and Admissions Officer dealing with undergraduate applications, outreach and recruitment and maintaining links with schools and colleges.

The successful applicant will gain valuable experience of working in the field of Admissions. Key areas of responsibility include assisting with the admissions round, maintaining and developing links with schools including organising and hosting school visits, maintaining and developing social media for Admissions and assisting with College and University Open Days.

The position would suit a highly motivated professional with good interpersonal skills, who has a “can-do” attitude, and who is able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Ideally, candidates will have had some experience of educational outreach.

This role involves 37.5 hours per week; however, some flexibility will be required so that the post holder can attend open days. The salary is paid at point 30 on the University’s single pay spine, currently equating to £22,876 per annum. This post is pensionable under the College’s attractive contributory pension scheme, includes free lunches when on duty and subsidised membership of the College’s gym facilities.
