The University of Cambridge is actively recruiting a scientist to join a recently established tumour immunology group. We are interested in understanding the role of innate lymphoid cells in regulating the immune response to cancer. Our long-term goal is to pharmacologically modulate the function of innate lymphoid cells with an aim to polarise the local immune environment towards an anti-cancer phenotype.

As a postdoctoral researcher in the group, you will drive your research project and establish novel *in vivo* and *in vitro* models to assess the function of immune cells in cancer, as well as study signalling pathways and downstream mechanisms using cutting edge genomic and proteomics approaches. You will join a collaborative and highly motivated team of researchers in a vibrant research institute. Our group is further supported by world-leading core facilities which researchers are encouraged to utilise to their fullest potential.

Candidates should have experience in animal (mouse) experimental procedures, isolation and phenotyping of cell subsets using flow cytometry, gene expression analysis, IF microscopy and cell culture. Ideally you have demonstrated creative and independent work in your area of expertise. A strong background in molecular and/or cancer biology will be highly valued.

Applicants who wish to be considered must display the ability to undertake project management, method development, data collection and analysis. You must have good communication and organisational skills, the ability to develop innovative experimental approaches to answer research questions, and thrive both in independent research and while working collaboratively as part of a team.

The successful candidate must have (or be about to receive) a PhD (or equivalent) in immunology.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
