About the role:

You’ll join the interdisciplinary team of StoryLab Research Institute, a project housed within the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences. The Institute brings together colleagues working in Digital Culture, Film, Music, Illustration, Animation, Serious Gaming, Graphic Design, Media Theory, Fashion and Photography, as well as Humanities and Social Sciences. You’ll typically engage in research and publishing in the field of digital culture, and in creative practice and fostering collaborative research initiatives that bring together the different strands of the research institute. This is an exciting opportunity for the you to join the Research Institute at an important point in its development and take a key role in its activities.

With a PhD, or nearing completion, or other postgraduate research qualification, you must be familiar with visual culture, narrative, digital humanities, or related field and have experience of successful bid writing. You’re expected to have advanced IT skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of the field(s) of digital humanities, narrative and audio-visual mediums would be an advantage.
